Lamonby Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join one of the UK's leading construction and building services consultancies. 
The Senior Building Control Surveyor will be responsible for reporting to the Technical Director and responsible for the Building Control Surveying Team, Graduates and Technicians.

Senior Building Control Surveyor Role

Work to the highest standards of professional probity and accuracy on building regulation projects in accordance with the Building Act and Regulations, Approved Documents, Local Acts, the Building Control Performance Standards and RICs Professional Standards.
Reporting to Directors and other Senior Surveyors and liaising with colleagues on all aspects of your work including technical, administrate and management issues.    
Represent the company at all times in a high manner.
Work within the company management systems including quality assurance, health and safety, induction requirements and policies.
Efficiently and competently undertaking and providing the building regulation services and associated services on a timely basis including preparation and issue of all statutory documentation.
Assessing information, reporting and issuing plans approvals.
Undertake site inspections to advise and ensure compliance with the regulations.
Ensuring the flow of information from consultees to other members of the project 
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive written records of all actions, decisions and inspections
Keeping the Director and Other Senior Surveyor or other delegated person informed
Ensure work is undertaken efficiently and managed within agreed resources to achieve profitable financial contributions to the business

Role Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have had experience working in a Building Control / Building Surveying capacity within the UK, be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent and have an all-round, up to date knowledge of building regulations and other relevant legislation and their application to construction projects on a professional basis.
The successful Senior Building Control Surveyor will also need to hold a full UK driving licence.
