Lamonby recruitment are recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer and a Domestic Gas Engineer to join a heating company based in Kent.

This is a mobile role, responding to call outs, breakdowns, inspections and PPM's to a range of retail, commercial and domestic customers.  Principally working on all makes of boilers, associated plant, be adaptable, and work in all areas within the M&E scope.  Liaising closely with clients, providing the highest levels of customer service.

Domestic/Commercial Gas Engineer Role: -

To carry out diagnostics and repairs on commercial/domestic/plumbing boiler systems and appliances.
To carry out gas heating/plumbing installation.
To undertake, where necessary, associated work including minor building repairs as identified on site.
To identify, from inspection, materials required to carry out repairs or installation to the required standard.
To ensure the safe handling and storage of all plant and equipment, including regular checks for road worthiness on company vehicles for which you are responsible.
To undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety policy statements and safe working practices.
To keep accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used.
To manage and control and be responsible for stock of materials held within a van.
To participate in the out of hours' emergency call out requirements.
Good written and verbal English

Role Requirements and Qualifications: -

You need to be Fully Gas Qualified for Commercial/Domestic plant.  Flexible to travel to a variety of sites in London and the south East, with a full driving licence.  Proven track record within service and maintenance of all types of atmospheric, blown gas and oil, and modular boiler systems. You will need to make effective decisions on the best and most cost-effective method of repairs to ensure value for money and the best possible service to the customer.  To carry out first fix repairs wherever possible to minimise disruption to customers.  Ensure work is carried out in compliance with all current building regulations, Gas Installation and Use Regulations, Potable Water Regulations and bylaws to ensure customers safety. Complete landlord's certificates and technical reports to a concise and accurate standard to comply with legislation.
