Salary : £24,000 - £30,000

A great opportunity is available for a reliable and self-motivated individual for the position of Senior Geo-environmental Scientist reporting to the Director of Contaminated Land. You will join a consultancy that offer a range of specialisms which include Contaminated Land, Flood Risk and Drainage, Project Management, Sustainability and Asbestos Surveying.

Geo-environmental scientists who wish to apply will ideally have an excellent academic background with relevant degree qualifications as well as knowledge/experience in the contaminated land industry would be beneficial to this role.

Senior Geo-environmental Scientist Role:-

Phase 1 desk studies.
Phase 2 site investigations: scoping, undertaking and writing factual and technical reports.
Risk assessment on contamination datasets: includes Tier 1 assessments, statistics and basic modelling in line with UK guidelines.
Running small projects whilst mentoring junior staff.
Assist in the writing of quotes.
Maintaining client and regulatory liaison as well as with other colleagues and sub-contractors
Plan works, arrange and manage site investigation.

Role requirements and Qualifications:-

Candidates will ideally hold a degree within a related subject with a minimum 5 year's experience.
Previous experience in Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigations.
Knowledge/experience of Contaminated Land.
Willingness to occasionally work away from home.
Good communicator in written and verbal skills.
Good computer skills and Microsoft applications.
Problem solver and lateral thinker.
Maintain client relationship.
Full UK driving license.

Senior Geo-environmental Scientist Package:-

£24,000-£30,000 based on previous experience
