Location : Hull  
Salary : £40,000 - £50,000  
Contract : Permanent

Principal Engineers required in London and Hull offices.

An experienced Structural Engineer is required to join a leading Engineering Consultancy who specialise in structural and civil engineering, highway structures, geotechnical and environmental engineering. As the successful Principal Engineer within the structural department you will be required to build strong relationships with the team based in Yorkshire. You will assist your team and deliver technical and commercial understanding helping to increase performance and successful delivery of projects, you will also liaise with the Technical Director to ensure group standards are implemented.

Principal Structural Engineer Role:-

Leading major projects.
Implementation of compliance on all Group policies, procedures and guidelines.
To lead on the delivery of quality assured, client focused products and services to meet the agreed requirements of the customer.
Contribute to the operation and development of the Business Management System
Continuous improvement of quality assured services/products for clients.
Line and Resource Management of Structural Engineering staff and workload.
Implementation of best practice in Structural Engineering
Delivery of commercial targets in Structural Engineering for your allocated area.
Liaising with Technical Director to share workload and resources as required.
Carry out other duties where appropriate.

Role requirements and qualifications:-

Previous experience leading projects in the Private and Public sectors.
Managing a team of professional staff and experience of dealing with clients at establishment head level.
Ability to use competently the main Structural codes of practice and Building Regulations
Design of Bridges and Highways Structures to DMRB.
Ability to use competently Structural Eurocodes and up to date CPD records.
Chartered Engineer (CEng)
Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE)
Ability to lead designs in all common forms of construction (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
Proficient in using common IT applications (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Project) and Structural Engineering software.
Must have a commitment to seek new ways of working to achieve continuous improvement.
