Job Profile: Chartered Building Surveyor – Job Ref – 13123
Lamonby Recruitment have an exciting new position for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our client, a reputable surveying consultancy based in Lincolnshire.
Types of services my client provide are; Contract Administration, Section 20 Consultation, Defect Diagnosis, Dilapidations, Party Wall Matters, Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessment, Planned Maintenance Programmes, Mortgage Valuations, RICS Homebuyer Reports and Residential Building Survey’s.
Chartered Building Surveyor Role
Undertake routine inspections, principally of commercial management properties.
Prepare appropriate schedules of condition, dilapidations, notice of repair etc. to include costing of dilapidations – negotiate claims and settlements.
Mortgage Valuations, RICS Homebuyer Reports and Residential Building Survey’s
Administer/supervise any significant building alterations, conversions, refurbishment projects etc. to include preparation of basic drawings, applications for building regulation approval, specifications etc.
Section 20 consultation procedures.
Develop systems for ongoing maintenance/repair programs to managed properties.
Deal with Party Wall Act related work.
Health & Safety issues, asbestos management, fire risk assessments.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
MRICS qualified with at least 5 years post qualification experience.
A track record of working on a variety of projects.
Demonstrates a strong academic track record.
Ability to build highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Able to explain complex information simply and clearly.
Experienced managing projects from inception to completion working on own autonomy.
You will be exposed to a variety of core Building Surveying functions in your role including Party Wall, Dilapidations, Contract Administration and Employers Agent, expect some degree of project work in your duties and functions.
Business development and client facing skills are always seen as preferable, you will manage your client's expectations on a day to day basis.
Good sense of time management, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Chartered Building Surveyor Package
• Salary £40,000, £50,000 (dependant on experience)
• Uncapped Bonus
• Car / allowance
• 20-25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (dependant on experience)
